The last 3 months have been pretty fun working on articles for Roaming Hunger. I've been able to hit food truck events, regularly, eat great food and shoot photos. That's pretty much half of my hobbies right there! I'm also getting the opportunity to meet some truly amazing people in the industry. It's been a little intimidating, at times, since shooting photos is what I'm used to doing. Now I'm also given the chance to express myself through words.
Last Sunday, I attended the weekly Picnic in the Presidio. It was my first time going to this event and it pretty much blew my mind. There were over 20 street food vendors, a full bar and a mimosa tent. Perfect for a Sunday Funday! What really makes this event is the location. It's an old military compound that's been renovated with, a killer view of the Bay, Crissy Fields and the Gold Gate Bridge. The event is super dog friendly as well, which is a bonus for me.
The topic for my next article is "desserts", however, there were so many other amazing foods to photograph (and indulge in), that I decided to post this blog. Otherwise, these photos would never have seen the light of day.
At the end of a day like this, I'm generally stuffed and ready to eat lettuce for a week. However, I'm having a good time seeing where my passion for photographing food & craft beer takes me. And if Tiger gets to come along, it just makes it that much better.
